Position: Asset Management Analyst
Asset Management directly coordinates with every aspect of StoneRiver’s business and relies on reporting to provide proactive, data-driven recommendations to improve future property and investment performance and create value. The Asset Management Analyst will report to the VP of Asset Management and be responsible for monitoring property operational performance through analysis and reporting. The position will contribute to the development of property performance reports for internal and external audiences.
The activities listed below are not all-inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of activities required to fulfill the demands of this position. Other duties or projects may be assigned by management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily market research/analysis using third-party software to develop a dashboard approach for proactive monitoring and reporting of revenue and operating expense performance, cash planning, distributions, debt compliance, and valuation/returns to assist with asset recommendations.
- Weekly monitoring of property-level working capital needs and renovation costs, budgets, and draws vs. proforma to make adjustments as needed.
- Review and comment on monthly financial reporting, specifically variance analysis, to highlight changes in property income and expenses.
- Monthly update of the real estate-owned schedule and company management profile for use as needed for refinancing or additional debt requirements.
- Research, organize, and lead the production of quarterly and annual investment reporting by collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive financial insights and forecasting projections.
- Assist with preparing comprehensive annual business plans, including budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis, including development of annual real estate tax and insurance escrow estimates in conjunction with 3rd party consultants.
- Participate in bi-monthly insurance review calls and assist with claims administration to mitigate risks.
- Review and comment on quarterly property inspections and audits to maintain quality standards and compliance with regulations.
- Participate in monthly asset management meetings.
- Respond to lender/servicer information requests.
- Assist with asset disposition efforts.
- Assist the VP of Asset Management and other senior team members with various ad hoc projects and tasks.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling
- Self-starter and can work well with limited direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate with a high degree of flexibility and to adapt to changing demands
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to create customized research reports and to integrate data into existing database formats - Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as strong technical experience with computer modeling
Preferred Educational Requirements:
Master’s degree in real estate, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Training Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in an analytical role within real estate or financial services.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver’s License – must be insurable under the underwriting guidelines of an insurance provider
Travel:
Some travel may be required, 15-25%
